78-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized After Being Hit by Car on Pedestrian Crossing in Ursynów

A 78-year-old woman was hospitalized after being struck by a Kia at a pedestrian crossing in Warsaw’s Ursynów district on Wednesday.

Incident Details

On Wednesday, February 18th, around 12:00, a 78-year-old pedestrian was struck by a Kia at a pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Alei Komisji Edukacji Narodowej with ul. Dzwonnicza in Warsaw’s Ursynów district.

Circumstances

The 47-year-old woman driving the Kia was traveling along ul. Dzwonnicza from ul. Romera and, while turning left onto Aleja KEN, collided with the pedestrian who was crossing on a green light.

Medical Response

Emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The 78-year-old woman received on-site assistance before being transported to the hospital with general bruising. After examinations, she was discharged and released home.

Traffic Impact

Police from WRD conducted procedures at the location. As a result of the authorities’ actions, traffic traveling toward the center was blocked near the intersection for approximately 2 hours.
