92% of Poles Say They Will Vote in 2027 Parliamentary Elections

A recent CBOS poll indicates overwhelming intent to participate in Poland’s 2027 parliamentary elections, with only a small percentage undecided.

Political Sentiment and Electoral Participation

Recent reporting detailed political moods and party support based on the latest CBOS poll. An accompanying survey assessed readiness to participate in the parliamentary elections, and the results are now available.

Dominant Response: Intent to Vote

One response overwhelmingly dominated the survey. The differences were clear and immediately apparent.

The majority, 91.85% (3437 respondents as of March 17, 2026), answered “yes” to the question of whether they would vote. Other options received significantly fewer responses: 3.85% (144 votes) answered “no,” and 4.30% (161 votes) indicated they would not vote. A total of 3742 people participated in the survey.

Poland’s Parliamentary Election System

Poland’s parliamentary elections are governed by clearly defined rules, directly impacting the composition of the Sejm and Senate.

The elections allow for the selection of 460 deputies and 100 senators, forming a bicameral parliament. Voting occurs every four years, with procedures outlined in the Constitution and Electoral Code. The process includes campaigning and voting on a designated day off from work. Citizens 18 years and older are eligible to vote, and results are announced by the State Electoral Commission.

Electoral Methods for Sejm and Senate

Elections to the Sejm are proportional, meaning the number of mandates depends on the support received. The Senate utilizes a majority system, where the candidate with the highest vote total in a district wins.

This difference in vote counting distinguishes the two elections. Formal rules, such as the electoral threshold and candidate list registration by committees, also influence the election process. The right to vote belongs to citizens who meet specific criteria, and the Supreme Court validates the election’s legitimacy.
