On the night of September 9-10, several Russian drones entered Polish airspace, with one unidentified object damaging a private house in Wyryki, Lublin province.
New findings indicate that the object that fell on the house in Wyryki was a missile fired by a Dutch F-35, not a Russian drone as initially reported. The house was allegedly involved in allied forces’ operations that night.
Earlier reports suggested that the house was hit by a Russian drone or a missile fired from a Polish F-16. There were also claims that it was a Norwegian F-35 that fired the missile.
The Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that an investigation is underway but has not provided further details.
The incident involved multiple Russian drones entering Polish airspace, with most being decoys that caused no damage. Poland activated Article 4 of the NATO treaty in response.
Russia has denied that its drones crossed the Polish border, calling the reports “insinuations.”
The case is being handled by the Military Affairs Department of the Lublin District Prosecutor’s Office. Russia has proposed consultations with Poland to dispute the claims.
