A 42-year-old man was taken into custody after stabbing his 36-year-old partner in Warsaw, Poland, and then falling asleep outside their apartment building.
Incident and Intervention
On Friday, September 19, municipal guards in Warsaw responded to a call on Tyszkiewicza Street, where a drunken 42-year-old man was found sleeping in a chair outside a block of apartments. During the intervention, his 36-year-old partner emerged from the apartment, also intoxicated, and collapsed on the stairs with a severe leg injury.
The woman had a several-centimeter-wide wound on her calf, from which blood was spurting under high pressure. Guards managed to stem the bleeding and called for an ambulance and police. The woman was transported to a hospital.
Medical Emergencies
The 42-year-old man, who had been called to by the guards, suffered an epileptic seizure during the police intervention. His body convulsed violently, requiring two people to secure his head. He was taken to a hospital under police escort.
Investigation Findings
Authorities established that a dispute between the couple likely led to the man stabbing the woman with a knife. He then exited the building with a chair and fell asleep.
