Anticyclone Petralilly Approaches Poland, Bringing Weather Changes

The Petralilly anticyclone will be positioned over the Baltic Sea on Friday, September 26, shaping Poland’s weather. Meteorologist Arkadiusz Płachta of Onet forecasts sunny but cold conditions, with mostly clear skies and little to no rain in many regions. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach around 15°C.

Rainfall in Southern and Western Poland

Forecasts indicate that Friday may see increased cloud cover in southern and western Poland. Light rain is possible from Lower Silesia to Małopolska and the Bieszczady Mountains, though these showers should gradually dissipate throughout the day.

Strong Winds in the Sudetes

The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management reports that winds will generally be weak to moderate, with occasional gusts. In the Sudetes, winds may reach up to 60 km/h in gusts. On the night of Friday to Saturday, cloud cover may be moderate to heavy in the southwestern regions, with light rain expected in the foothills.
