Netanyahu at UN Forum with QR Code: “You’ll See Why We Fight”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the UN, accusing global leaders of bowing to pressure and defending Israel’s actions in Gaza.

Netanyahu’s Speech

Benjamin Netanyahu’s 40-minute address began with many attendees leaving the room. He compared the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack to a hypothetical assault on the U.S., stating Israel is dismantling Hamas to prevent future threats. He criticized world leaders for yielding to biased media, radical Islamist voters, and antisemitic mobs, accusing them of siding with terrorists.

Netanyahu claimed Israel warned Gaza civilians to evacuate for three weeks before military operations, while Hamas forced residents to stay in danger. He alleged Hamas hoards and sells food at inflated prices, causing shortages.

Netanyahu wore a lapel pin with a QR code linking to a website about the October 7 attack, which killed around 1,200 people, including over 800 civilians. He urged attendees to visit the site to understand Israel’s actions.

Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza

The UN reported worsening conditions in southern Gaza, with displaced and starving residents sleeping in rubble. Medical facilities and community kitchens have closed due to Israeli military actions. Only 35 of 94 planned aid coordination efforts succeeded this month. Since October 7, over 65,000 people have died, and 167,000 were injured. By September 19, 440 people, including 147 children, died from malnutrition.
