A tragic fire in a residential building in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki killed a 68-year-old man and his 39-year-old son.
Initial Findings
The fire broke out in a second-floor apartment on Wojska Polskiego Street. Flames erupted in a room where the 68-year-old man was present; he died at the scene. The 39-year-old, who was in an adjacent room, succumbed to smoke inhalation. Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts by firefighters and medical teams, the younger man could not be saved.
Investigation and Response
Firefighters, medical teams, and police responded to the scene. Further investigations, including securing the area and interviewing witnesses, were conducted under the supervision of a prosecutor. Authorities are currently determining the exact cause and circumstances of the tragedy.
