Hołownia Announces Key Personnel Decisions: “Time to Account to the Polish People”

Szymon Hołownia declared significant personnel changes after a Poland 2050 party meeting, emphasizing accountability ahead of 2027.

Hołownia on Upcoming Accountability

During a press conference following a Poland 2050 National Council meeting on Saturday (27 September), Szymon Hołownia stated that the party had made crucial personnel decisions. “We feel that 2027 is approaching, and it’s time to account to the Polish people for what we’ve accomplished so far,” he said. Hołownia added that a new path is needed for new times, which he intends to forge together with the party.

He also announced that he would not seek re-election as the leader of Poland 2050, expressing hope that his colleagues would choose a leader capable of guiding the party to victory in 2027.

Hołownia’s Potential New Role

Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz revealed that the National Council unanimously recommended Hołownia for the position of deputy speaker of the Sejm, pending a coalition agreement. She confirmed that Hołownia agreed to the proposal. Additionally, the name of the candidate for deputy prime minister will be announced on Tuesday, as part of the coalition’s agreed-upon rotation.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz emphasized that Poland 2050 remains a reliable coalition partner, stressing that the party maintains its principles and will uphold its commitments.
