Group rape on church cemetery in England; police seek witness

A 30-year-old woman was gang-raped on a church cemetery in Banbury, Oxfordshire, and police are appealing for a female witness who may have tried to help.

A group of men sexually assaulted a woman in her 30s on the cemetery of St. Mary’s Church in Banbury, Oxfordshire, in the early hours of Sunday, September 28.

Appeal for witness

Police are seeking a woman who may have witnessed the attack and attempted to assist the victim. Officer Mark Personius urged the woman to come forward, stating she may hold crucial information.

\”We are publicly appealing to a specific witness—a woman who, in our assessment, may have tried to help the victim. At this stage, we do not know her description. If you are that woman, please contact us,\” Personius said.

Call for surveillance footage

Personius also requested that anyone with footage from security cameras, dashcams, or mobile phones in the area between midnight and 2:30 AM on the night of the attack to come forward.

\”Please check any recordings you may have from this area. If you captured anything that could assist us, please get in touch,\” he added.
