Serious triple‑car crash blocks three lanes on Wisłostrada

A fatal collision involving three cars on Warsaw’s Wisłostrada near the Grot‑Rowecki bridge on Żoliborz left two people injured but not hospitalized, temporarily halting traffic toward the city centre.

Crash Details

The collision took place on the eastbound direction of Wisłostrada, just behind the Grot‑Rowecki bridge in the Żoliborz district. Three passenger cars collided after one driver changed lanes.

Casualties

Medical rescuers examined two passengers; neither required hospitalization.

Emergency Response

Two fire brigade teams from APoż, a medical rescue unit, and the police secured the scene, disconnected batteries, and cleared bodywork from the roadway.

Traffic Disruption

Traffic toward the city centre was briefly stopped entirely. The road is now open with a single lane, and traffic police are documenting the incident and determining its exact sequence.
