Klaudia Jachira Suspended by KO Party; She Exposes the Behind‑Scenes

Polish MP Klaudia Jachira claims she was suspended by the KO party over her criticism of proposed changes to the Family 800+ benefit, revealing a dispute over national welfare policy.

Jachira Claims KO Suspended Her Over 800 Plus Amendments

On 7 October, Klaudia Jachira posted that, three weeks earlier during the law on aid for Ukrainians, she had submitted amendments that would have restricted the 800+ benefit to families where at least one parent is employed. The amendments failed to pass the Sejm, and she says the KO club suspended her as a result.

Jachira noted that the discussion about the benefit had reached the government and urged that public money be directed to those most in need or used for systemic solutions rather than “senseless giveaways.”

Ministerial Response Denies Planned Changes

Earlier reports by Forsal.pl suggested the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy might consider limiting the benefit to tax‑paying parents. The ministry immediately refuted these claims, stating it is not conducting any work to modify the support’s eligibility rules.

Official Statement Emphasizes Universal Coverage

The ministry reiterated that the Family 800+ benefit is universal and available to all families raising children, regardless of material or professional status, framing it as a cornerstone of Poland’s family policy.
