Truck Collision on DK50 Blocks Traffic Toward Płońsk

Two trucks collided on national road 50 near Stare Nacpolsk on Oct. 8, blocking the lane toward Płońsk and causing up to an hour of delays.

Incident Details

At about 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 8, a Scania truck crashed into the rear of a Mercedes on national road 50 in the Stare Nacpolsk area of Płońsk County. The collision occurred amid road‑work with temporary traffic signals.

Drivers

The Mercedes was driven by a 29‑year‑old resident of Sierpc County, while the Scania was piloted by a 42‑year‑old from Ciechanów County. Both vehicles were traveling in the same direction.

Traffic Impact

The lane heading toward Płońsk is currently blocked. Authorities estimate the delay will last 30 to 60 minutes, affecting commuters and transport services.

Police Response

Police have secured the site and are directing traffic until full clearance is restored. No injuries have been reported.
