Zelenski Forecasts: Putin Could Start a World War

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy warns that if Russia implements nationwide mobilisation, President Vladimir Putin could begin a world war, targeting Europe.

Zelenski’s Warning on a World War

Zelenski says there is a risk that, should Russia launch a general mobilisation, Putin might start a world war by attacking Europe.

He added that Putin has hesitated to announce mobilisation on Russian soil because he fears losing support, but the Kremlin could change its mind, creating the risk of an attack on European states.

What About a Truce in Ukraine?

Zelenski discussed the possibility of a cease‑fire agreement, stating that Putin fears a cease‑fire would make it hard for him to restart a large‑scale war.

He reportedly indicated that Russia’s main objective is the capture of Pokrovsk in Donbas, while the Ukrainian army seeks to maintain that area.

The fire, monitored by NASA, engulfed boiler rooms and a fuel‑energy complex, as confirmed by Volgograd governor Andriy Baczarov.

Independent Russian Media Highlights Damage and Production Losses

Reports from independent Russian media note that the damaged gas plants are among the largest in the Southern Federal District.

The drone attacks also set fire to the nearby Jefimowka crude‑oil pumping station, causing Russia to lose over 20% of its oil and gas processing capacity for several months.
