On Thursday, October 9, a woman shouted “He lies!” at a meeting with Poland’s foreign minister Radosław Sikorski in Przemyśl.
Incident at the Meeting
The meeting was held on Thursday, October 9 in Przemyśl. During the chief of foreign affairs’s presentation, a woman present abruptly interrupted.
Woman’s Accusations
She held up a pair of sandals, claiming they were from an Israeli prison. “A Polish‑passport holder wore them,” she said. “An Israeli soldier forced him into kneeling in those sandals for six hours.” She accused the minister of lying about the absence of genocide in Gaza, asserting that the UN had proven genocide, and later shouted “Free Palestine!” as she was escorted out.
Sikorski’s Response
Poland’s foreign minister said, “It’s a pity the lady was delayed. I am not afraid of questions and I am not afraid to defend my views,” adding that he would return to the topic later but wanted to finish what he had to say. He then spoke about drone incidents in NATO airspace.
Sikorski on Drone Incidents
He stated, “Whether the nighttime incursion of Russian drones into Polish territory on the night of September 9–10 was provocation or mistake, it was unacceptable.” He explained that he and allies acted decisively and lawfully, shooting down many drones that posed a serious threat. NATO backed the decision. He claimed that if the event was a test, Poland ‘passed the exam.’
