Ryanair Flight Crashes Toward Manchester Amid Storm, Mayday Call

A Ryanair Boeing 737 scheduled from Pisa to Glasgow performed a frantic emergency landing in Manchester on 3 October after nearly depleting its fuel amid a storm, the crew reporting a Mayday.

Passenger Testimony: Several Circuits

One passenger explained that the flight left Pisa delayed due to protests, and the crew performed multiple circles before attempting to land, only to climb again before finally heading to Manchester.

The passenger noted the crew said they would try again or divert, describing the relief when seeing film of the Manchester landing with nearly zero fuel.

Investigation Launched: Ryanair Responds

Ryanair filed a report with authorities on 3 October. The airline’s press secretary said the case is under investigation and no comments can be made.

The UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch has begun gathering evidence on the incident.
