Incident at Królewska 85

A few minutes before 20:00 on Monday, 13 October, emergency services were dispatched to a fire at 85 Królewska Street in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. A 44‑year‑old homeless man was taken from the building and underwent resuscitation but died on site. Police arrested two suspects, aged 38 and 42.

The incident was reported at 19:56. Four fire battalions, a medical rescue team and police operated under prosecutor supervision, with a canine‑tracing guide also present.

Fire Origin and Suppression

Upon arrival, a sofa was already ablaze in one of the rooms; the fire was quickly extinguished. The fire service confirmed that the blaze began on a sofa, and that further details could not be provided.

Police noted the victim’s multiple injuries, particularly to the head, and began procedural work, detaining two men for questioning.
