Police in Łódź say they are investigating seven incidents of women being robbed on main streets in the Koziny and Żubardź neighbourhoods this week.
Łódź: Robberies Target Women – Likely Same Culprit
Police were first notified early this week via a local fan page. Reports stated that in recent weeks several women were robbed on the Koziny and Żubardź estates, most probably by the same perpetrator. The attacks were reported to have taken place on the same streets: Gandhiego, Kasprza and Powstańców Wielkopolskich. A recording of one incident circulated in the Facebook group “Bałuty Mieszkańcy”.

The Łódź police confirm that such events actually occurred and are currently investigating seven cases. Victims, in addition to losing bags, also lost wallets, ATM cards, phones and keys.
Suspect Profile and Search Update
Policemen, speaking to Radio ZET, suspect that the attacks may be carried out by a single individual. They continue to search for the culprit or culprits. According to the description provided to police by the attacked residents of Koziny, the suspect is a young, slim man with dark hair who wears a hooded jacket.
