Tram Track Repairs at Warsaw East Station Shut Down Kijowska Street Traffic

Workers will close parts of Kijowska Street for tram track refurbishment from Wednesday, Oct. 15 to Friday, Oct. 24, disrupting traffic and tram services near Warsaw East Station.

Work Schedule

Construction begins immediately after midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 15, and continues until Friday, Oct. 24. Traffic management plans differ between weekdays and weekends.

Weekday Traffic Management

From Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 15‑17, and again Monday through Friday, Oct. 20‑24, the left lane toward Targowa on Kijowska Street will be fenced off at the tram stop. Drivers will use the bus lane. One pedestrian crossing will be closed.

Weekend Closures

On Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 18‑19, workers will additionally close the turn‑around for traffic coming from Zabraniecka. Drivers will loop via Brzeskie tram tracks. Two zebra crossings will be sealed.

Tram Service Changes

During the weekend, lines 7 and 28 will operate only up to the Targowa‑Kijowska intersection. Line 13 will reach only the Ratuszowa‑Zoo stop on Saturday, and will not run on Sunday.

Replacement Buses

Replacement buses Z‑7, which normally run the Kijowska‑Kawa – Kijowska route, will cover the affected streets.
