Emergency response
Four volunteer fire brigades (JRG Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, OSP Nuna, WSP Zegrze, OSP Wola Kiełpińska), a medical unit and police were dispatched. First aid was rendered on the scene, after which the cyclist was handed over to medical rescuers and taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries after several hours.
Driver and accident details
The driver, sober, was travelling from Serock toward Chrcynna and struck the rear of the cyclist. The cyclist fell into the car. Authorities have confiscated the driver’s license and are continuing the investigation.
Traffic management
A shuttle traffic system was introduced on the affected section of DW 622 until emergency work was completed.
