BARTOSZ GIBAŁA, a Polish businessman, gave 500,000 zlotys to the Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) to support children in Gaza amid the ongoing cease‑fire talks.
Immediate Impact
The donation allows PAH to act instantly: assessing needs with on‑the‑ground partners and directing aid to places where it is most urgently needed.
Motivation Behind the Donation
“Seeing the pictures and reports from Gaza, I feel injustice and helplessness, but I know that by giving PAH—who knows how to help best—I can do something real,” says Bartosz Gibała.
Special Nutrition for Vulnerable Children
The funds will secure a monthly supply of specialised nutrition for children aged 6‑23 months, delivered directly by UNICEF to the front lines. This nutrition provides essential nutrients for healthy development.
Partnership with UNICEF
PAH and UNICEF collaborate on humanitarian programs worldwide, including WASH efforts in Somalia and Somalia’s coordinated programmes since 2018. Their joint experience enables efficient needs assessment and delivery.
Cease‑Fire and Logistical Challenges
Although a cease‑fire has recently been announced, access for aid convoys remains controlled by Israeli forces. Transport is approved on a case‑by‑case basis, and safety conditions often hinder missions, especially when safe alternative routes are lacking.
Call for Wider Corporate Engagement
Gibała urges business leaders to intensify support, stressing that listening to organisations that understand the terrain is the first step. He believes such actions can inspire further contributions and create a real effect.
