On Thursday, October 16, a Sejm conference announced Gomoła’s re‑admission to the party, sparking interest because he was expelled 1½ years ago amid a scandal.

He said the talks began in June, that he met Szymon Hołownia in July, and that he had doubts about decisions made in March.

Gomoła concluded the matter with an apology, which he believes settles the debate.

The Opole prosecutor’s office continues investigations into alleged irregularities in campaign financing, while Gomoła was questioned as a witness.

After 1.5 years, the probe has yielded no results, suggesting a protracted process, according to party chair Paweł Śliz.

He added that no evidence was found to prosecute Gomoła.

Adam Gomoła’s Case

In the 2023 parliamentary elections, Gomoła ran from the top of the Third Way – Poland 2050/PSL list in Opole, securing over 21,000 votes and becoming the youngest MP.

A March newspaper transcript revealed a conversation between Gomoła and a regional council candidate about a 20,000‑PLN donation to a private company linked to a close associate, allegedly to bypass financing limits.

Gomoła described the discussion as part of a broader dialogue, denied soliciting money, and was later expelled from the party, with official statements warning of no chance for re‑entry.
