Biedroń Slams Zandberg, Zandberg Labels Government Lousy

In a studio interview, Polish eurosparrow Robert Biedroń and opposition figure Adrian Zandberg spar over the coalition’s performance, each accusing the other of shirking responsibility and failing to deliver on promises.

Biedroń Lists Government Achievements

Robert Biedroń highlighted the coalition government’s accomplishments, citing the “Active Parent” program, increased widow’s pensions, housing funds, 9 billion zlotys in financial support, and an annual construction of 25 thousand homes. He said this represents only a fraction of what the Left promised during the campaign and that was fulfilled within two years.

Zandberg Calls the Government “Lousy”

Adrian Zandberg, a Party Razum MP, criticized the current coalition as a poor government and accused it of attempting to hand power to Czarnkowski and Mentzen. He said it failed to keep many campaign promises.

Debate on Responsibility

Biedroń warned that it is easy to sit in the “lounge of mockers” and criticize, but not to take responsibility for Poland. Zandberg replied that Biedroń should focus on outcomes rather than rhetoric.

Call for Coalition Action

Biedroń urged Zandberg to accept responsibility, noting the modest 90 groszy hourly minimum wage raise—the lowest increase in years—and criticized the lack of real budget surpluses. He implored the opposition to join the coalition and demonstrate effective governance rather than merely reviewing mistakes.

Party Razum’s Refusal to Join Coalition

After the 2023 parliamentary elections, Partia Razum voted confidence for Donald Tusk’s government but did not take ministerial portfolios. The party objected to a compromise emergency law decriminalizing abortion, 8 % GDP for health, 3 % for science, 1 % for public housing, paid sick leave, union strengthening, expanded strike rights, gradual work time reduction, and effective fight against “garbage contracts”. Magdalena Biejat left the party in October 2024.
