Iran’s Supreme Leader Docks Donald Trump’s Praise With Mockery

On Monday, October 20, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei publicly mocked former U.S. President Donald Trump’s claims that America had bombed and destroyed Iran’s nuclear facilities, noting his speech in Israel a week earlier.

Chamenei Ridicules Trump’s Nuclear Claims

Ali Khamenei wrote that Trump “praises himself for bombing and destroying Iran’s nuclear industry,” adding “Well, in your dreams!” He referenced Trump’s October 13 speech in the Israeli parliament where the former president cited U.S. attacks on three key sites—Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan.

He said the U.S. dropped 14 bombs on Iranian nuclear facilities, which had “confirmed” led to their destruction.

War‑Crime Allegations Against the U.S.

Khamenei also attacked the U.S. as a “main partner in the war crimes occurring in the Gaza Strip,” saying Trump tried to give hope to upset Zionists in occupied Palestine with empty words.

He claimed the U.S. was supposed to provide Israel with weapons used in the area.

Trump’s Israeli Visit Criticised

Khamenei also commented on Trump’s visit to Israel, saying the former president sought to lift the morale of frustrated Zionists in occupied Palestine with empty words and clownish behaviour.

Trump’s Proposal of US‑Iran Peace Deal

Trump recently floated a U.S.-Iran agreement, stating that a peace deal would be “wonderful” and that Iran would need to stop funding groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah and recognize Israel’s right to exist.

According to The Guardian, antagonism between the two countries has existed since the 1980s.
