On Monday 20 October, a bus traveling northbound on the A2 near Wysoczka, Greater Poland, collided with a column of at least two U.S. military cars at 19:01. The collision caused the bus to overturn, striking both vehicles. According to officials, the incident occurred around 7:01 p.m. local time.
Injuries
Four soldiers were reported injured, three of whom were transported to a hospital. The bus driver sustained injuries but, as of now, has not been admitted to a hospital, according to a spokesperson from the Wielkopolskie Command of the State Fire Service, Martin Halasz. No other casualties were noted.
Traffic Disruptions
The Poznań division of the State Fire Service warned that between the accident site and Warsaw, motorists could face delays. Eight fire-fighting teams were dispatched to the scene, and officials said disruptions might last several hours.
