On Thursday, 23 October, Warsaw Waterworks (MPWiK) will carry out the crisis‑management exercise codenamed “SOKRATES‑25” together with the municipal services of Warsaw.
Preparedness and Coordination
The drill is part of the Population Protection and Civil Defence Programme and is supported by the Police and State Fire Service. It will test readiness to respond in crisis situations and the resilience of the water supply infrastructure.

The confirmed sites are the Filtrów area on Koszykowa Street in Warsaw and the wastewater treatment plant on Domaniewska Street in Pruszków. RCB alerts were sent to residents of both cities with the message “Note! On 23.10 pyrotechnics and drones will be used on Koszykowa, Warsaw. Stay calm and follow instructions.”
