Live Clash at TVN24 Over Alleged Kornhauser‑Duda NBP Appointment

A TVN24 live interview erupted when journalist Anna Jędrzejowska confronted presidential adviser Błażej Poboży over a story claiming former first lady Agata Kornhauser‑Duda works for the National Bank of Poland, sparking denials and fallout.

Live Tension in the Program

During TVN24’s live show “Tak jest,” journalist Anna Jędrzejowska and presidential adviser Błażej Poboży erupted into a dispute over a story that alleged former first lady Agata Kornhauser‑Duda held a new position at Poland’s National Bank.

Poboży called the claim “an incredible scandal,” accusing the station of “extreme disinformation” and demanding that any editors who had cited TVN24 correct the misinformation.

The journalist noted that the former first lady’s name appeared on the bank’s mailing list, but Poboży clarified that a mailing list does not prove employment.

Reports of New Job for Kornhauser‑Duda

TVN24 announced on Tuesday that Kornhauser‑Duda was employed by the National Bank of Poland. The station’s press spokesperson immediately debunked the claim.

Polish Radio interviewee Maciej Antes reiterated that she is not an employee of the NBP and urged audiences to refrain from spreading false information on X.

In addition to Kornhauser‑Duda, TVN24 reported that central‑bank adviser Andrzej Dera might also hold a position, a point the NBP spokesperson did not address.
