Polish PM Donald Tusk announced the Civic Coalition’s 38.12% backing in a nationwide poll, expressed personal satisfaction, and pledged a 2027 electoral win while briefing EU leaders in Brussels.
38% Support for Civic Coalition in Latest Poll
Donald Tusk reported that the Civic Coalition received 38.12% of support in the most recent survey by the National Research Group. Law and Justice led the list with 29.81%, followed by Confederation at 15.5%. Threshold‑eligible parties such as the New Left, Polish Centre‑Left, Together, and Poland 2050 would all be represented under the current results.
Tusk Expresses Personal Satisfaction Over Recent Accolades
Speaking before the government, Tusk said he feels a personal sense of satisfaction from the prizes he has received over the past two weeks of his premiership. He compared the recent achievements to those he claimed when celebrating his second year in office.
Prime Minister Forecasts 2027 Electoral Outcome
Tusk emphasized that the latest poll signals more than mere party favouritism; it reflects that Poles today feel significantly better than in any previous period of the nation’s history. He warned that several scenarios are possible for the 2027 election, but confirmed that the Civic Coalition would win and refuse to hand power to other political figures, including Kaczyński, Święczkowski, Ziobro, or their supporters.
EU Leaders Summit in Brussels and Bilateral Meeting with Zelenski
The Polish prime minister attended the EU leaders summit in Brussels, where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy also convened. In a bilateral session, Tusk and Zelenskiy discussed Ukraine’s defence support, current frontline conditions, joint defence projects, and the use of the SAFE instrument. Zelenskiy noted that Russian air attacks have hit Ukrainian energy infrastructure and stressed the need for enhanced protection of European airspace. He added that Ukraine is keen on Polish firms investing in its defence industry.
