Warsaw: Belarusian Suspected of Murder, Arrest Warrant Issued

Police in Warsaw have issued a search warrant for 33‑year‑old Belarusian Erik Piatrou, the suspect in the October 2023 murder of Izabela R.-H. in a hotel on the Wola district.

The District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw announced on Friday, 24 October that a search warrant has been issued for 33‑year‑old Erik Piatrou. Piatrou is suspected of murdering young woman Izabela R.-H. in a hotel located in the Wola district of Warsaw in October 2023. Police urge anyone with information on Piatrou’s whereabouts to contact the nearest police unit.

Prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba warned that anyone who obstructs or interferes with criminal proceedings—by hiding the suspect, creating false evidence, or obscuring the trail—faces prison terms ranging from three months to five years.
