Pedestrian Hit by Volkswagen Passat in Pruszków – Rescued Under Vehicle

On the evening of 9 November 2025 at around 20:30, a pedestrian was struck by a Volkswagen Passat on Henryka Sienkiewicza street in Pruszków, before the crosswalk, and was rescued while still beneath the vehicle.

Incident at Pruszków Road

A collision occurred at approximately 20:30 on 9 November 2025 on Henryka Sienkiewicza street near the PKP station, leaving a pedestrian trapped under a Volkswagen Passat.

Preliminary Investigation

Police preliminarily report the event happened before the pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian is believed to have stepped onto the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. Early findings suggest the pedestrian may have contributed to the incident, and police are conducting sobriety tests.

Rescue Operations

The State Fire Service of Pruszków, the police, the city fire guard and the Medical Rescue Team coordinated the response. Firefighters used an orthopedic board and hydraulic equipment to free the victim from under the vehicle before handing him to medics.

Traffic Closure

During the rescue and police investigation, the entire frontage of Sienkiewicza street was closed in both directions.

The driver of the Volkswagen remained at the scene. Police are still clarifying the exact circumstances and causes of the incident.
