Sunday, November 9, after 8 p.m., a 19‑year‑old driver of a Renault was speeding on Kapelanka street in Krakow. When a police officer approached his vehicle to enforce a traffic check, the driver ran past the policeman and began to flee.

Armed Intervention Follows

Police pursued the suspect and fired several shots at the Renault to immobilize the vehicle. The bullets struck the car, stopping its movement before it entered the surrounding area.

Arrest Made in Budzyń

The suspect was ultimately taken into custody in the town of Budzyń, in the Malopolska province. Footage of the police action was posted on the “Kraków dla Was” Facebook page.

Police Find Drugs in Driver

During the arrest, authorities discovered that the driver possessed narcotics. He was not injured during the operation, and further legal procedures are pending.
