Jacek Kurski Defends Kaczyński’s Presence at Independence March

On Tuesday, Jacek Kurski, former TVP chief, defended Jarosław Kaczyński’s participation in Poland’s Independence March, urging that the festivities should not be marred by critics.

Kurski Counters Marcin Mastalerka

In a post dated Tuesday, Kurski dismissed criticism from Marcin Mastalerka, asserting that no one will ruin the celebration. He labeled Mastalerka a “duty clown” and explained that Kaczyński is attending the march for the first time because he embodies the Polish heart, mind, and state.

Criticism of President Andrzej Duda

Kurski argued that the nation needs focused support for proven leadership, praising Kaczyński as the architect of right‑wing successes in Poland. He also listed what he sees as Duda’s mistakes, including media blockades, vetoing judicial laws, and confusing Poland’s and Ukraine’s interests.

Kaczyński Celebrated as Patriotic Hero

According to Kurski, no one has a bigger reason to celebrate independence than a leader who guided a patriotic camp under oppression. He claims Kaczyński’s actions kept Poland from authoritarianism and preserved sovereignty.

Mastalerka’s Retort

Mastalerka responded that Kurski’s remarks are absurd, calling the criticism “stupid” and implying that the former TVP chairman fabricated the accusations.
