Drunk Driver Hits Guardrails on Mokotów Road, Police Stops Him Before Escape

On November 11, 2025, at about 5:20 a.m., a drunken driver in a Volkswagen collided with guardrails entering Siekierkowska Road from Zoliński Street toward Mokotów and attempted to walk away before being stopped by a patrol officer.

Crash Details

A VW was traveling on the entrance from Zoliński Street onto Siekierkowska Road at roughly 5:20 a.m. When the driver failed to adjust speed to road conditions, the car hit energy‑absorbing guardrails and the collision occurred in the direction of Mokotów.

Alcohol Level

Breath‑alcohol testing found 1.6 ‰ of alcohol in the driver’s bloodstream.

Police Intervention

Several hundred meters from the crash site, a KRP VII officer on duty drove up, stopped the driver, and initiated investigative procedures. The driver was taken into custody at the scene.

Traffic Disruption

The road was blocked for several hours. Drivers were rerouted until the investigation and cleanup were completed.
