The national board of Razem unanimously removed MP Paulina Matysiak from the party in June 2024, citing her failure to cooperate and align with party strategy.
Paulina Matysiak Removed from Razem Party
The Razem national board voted in a single direction to drop Paulina Matysiak from the party’s membership rolls. The statement said that Matysiak had long ceased to coordinate her actions with the party and had not collaborated with its work. Repeated attempts to involve her in Razem events and the parliamentary caucus were ineffective, making further collaboration impossible.
The party thanked her for years of cooperation and announced its readiness to work together in the Sejm on transport and other development matters. However, it clarified that it had agreed on building an alternative to the PO‑PiS coalition, and many of Matysiak’s actions did not reflect that strategy or the values of Razem. The board also cited an incident last year when a group of female politicians sought to align Razem with Tusk’s bloc through their own decisions, which Razem resisted.
Political Friendship with Marcin Horał
In June 2024, Matysiak and PiS MP Marcin Horał established the social movement “Yes for Development”. The pair had earlier formed the group “Yes for Development. CPK‑Atom‑Porty”. Because of that collaboration, Matysiak was suspended from Razem for 180 days.
By December 2024 the disciplinary proceedings against her concluded, leading to her permanent removal from Razem and a formal sanction.
Cooperation with Ordo Iuris and President
Recently, Matysiak attracted attention by engaging the services of Bartosz Lewandowski, a lawyer linked to Ordo Iuris who currently represents Zbigniew Ziobro. The case involved the company Newag, which accused her of improperly divulging information that could harm its reputation. Matysiak argued that Lewandowski’s political expertise was essential, and the court dismissed the lawsuit, citing her parliamentary immunity.
In August, she appeared at the rally of Karol Nawroński, supporting his initiative to relocate the Central Communicational Port. She was also present at the Cabinet Council in the Presidential Palace.
