S7 Blocked After Tire Blow‑out on Concrete‑Plate Lorry, Vehicle Hits Barriers

A DAF lorry carrying concrete plates lost a tire near Cempkowo on the unfinished S7, crashed into protective barriers, and then ploughed into the opposite traffic lane toward Warsaw, blocking the route.

Incident Overview

On the national road No. 7 (S7 under construction) at Cempkowo (Płońsk County), a DAF lorry carrying concrete plates lost a tire while heading toward Gdańsk. The driver, a 69‑year‑old from Siedlce County, lost control, struck the concrete barriers separating traffic lanes, and then entered the opposite lane toward Warsaw, colliding with energy‑absorbing barriers.

Traffic Impact

Both lanes were completely blocked. Traffic in both directions is currently impeded. One lane toward Gdańsk will soon be cleared, while the lane toward Warsaw is being used via a service road. Delays may last several hours.

Emergency Response

The lorry driver is receiving assistance, and services are on site. Police are urging drivers to exercise extra caution, follow traffic controllers’ orders, and remain patient until the road is fully cleared. A passenger car was also damaged in the incident.
