A 16‑year‑old in Leszno, Poland, allegedly threatened to beat a taxi driver after refusing to give him a ride in the early hours of November 11, according to reports.
Incident Reported by Volunteer
A volunteer of the Foundation Leszno for Ukraine posted that the taxi driver’s mother was intended to be beaten. The driver, a taxi operator, took the 16‑year‑old in her car on the night of 10–11 November. The teenager was supposed to return from a club and demanded a ride to a gas station, but the driver declined and instead drove him to his listed address.
Alleged Assault and Threatening
When the driver refused to provide the requested stop, the teenager allegedly grabbed her by the jacket and tried to move her into the driver’s seat, saying, “If you don’t drive me, I’ll go alone.” He reportedly seized her key fob and tried to force her out of the vehicle.
Violence and Hate Speech
The volunteer’s post describes a violent encounter: the teen struck the woman, kicked her while she was lying on the ground, and shouted hateful words. He is also alleged to have used profanity, with phrases such as “j****a szmato, s********j do Ukrainy.” The victim reportedly cried out in pain and terror during the assault.
Police Response
Police Deputy Inspector Monika Żymełka confirmed that officers received a complaint about the beating. She said the case is multi‑threaded and will be referred to the family and juvenile court for further action against the 16‑year‑old. The Foundation Leszno for Ukraine is also involved in the investigation.
Medical Findings
In a radiographic examination, the victim’s mother was found to have bruises and was described as in a “terrible psychological state.” The X‑ray report noted an irregular shadow in the right posterior rib area that may correspond to a non‑displaced fracture.
