Sudden Train Stop on Świnoujście‑Rzeszów Line

On Sunday, 16 November, a passenger train traveling from Świnoujście to Rzeszów halted unexpectedly near Lublin after 21:00. The train carried 475 passengers, and no one was injured.

Police received the incident notification at 21:00 from the Puław Police Department and immediately initiated an investigation.

Police Investigation Findings

No injuries were reported among the passengers or crew aboard the train.

Alleged Sabotage Near Lublin

Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced on Monday that sabotage had occurred on a rail segment near the village of Życzyn in the Masovian Voivodeship. He said an explosive device detonated, damaging the track on the Warsaw‑Lublin route.

He added that similar damage had been confirmed further east, closer to Lublin, on the same line.

Conductor Notices Damaged Track

Earlier on Sunday, a train driver observed a damaged track segment near the PKP Mika station in Masovia. The carriage was carrying two passengers and several crew members at the time.
