A 1927 manor in Jadwisin, bought with 918,000 zloty of PiS‑fueled “willa plus” grants, is now on the market for 2.87 million zloty following a dramatic price rise.
Purchase Funded by PiS “willa plus” Grants
In 2022, the local tourism organisation Inte‑gra received 918 000 zloty to buy a manor built in 1927 in Jadwisin, Serock commune, Masovian Voivodeship, and an additional 82 000 zloty for its furnishings. The money came from the “willa plus” programme run by the Ministry of Education and Science during the PiS government.
Manor Now Operates as an Escape Room
Despite the programme’s rule that grant recipients must run non‑commercial activities, the manor is currently used as an escape room. The sale listing notes that the property is for residential and service use and that “an educational business, the ESCAPE ROOM, is operated there.”
Owner Justifies the Steep Sale Price
President Robert Sypk confirmed that the manor is offered at more than three times the purchase price, citing renovation costs. He added that the use of the manor aligns with the educational activity requirement of the “willa plus” funding.
Polish Education Ministry Seeks Refund
The current education ministry is pursuing repayment of the funds, as noted in a March control report. It claims concerns over the purchase and furnishing of the property and is preparing administrative decisions to be issued in November.
