On November 20, in Brussels before an EU foreign‑minister summit, Poland’s Radosław Sikorski called for European participation in President Trump’s 28‑point Ukraine peace proposal.
Sikorski Demands European Inclusion
Polish Foreign Minister said Europe’s security will rise or fall depending on the war’s outcome and that Europe must be part of decision‑making.
He added that Europe is the main financial and military sponsor of Ukraine.
Kaja Kallas Urges Local Support for Plan
Estonian foreign‑minister Kaja Kallas echoed the need for Ukraine and European approval for any plan to work.
She noted that Europe did not participate in consultations on the U.S. proposal.
Piesk Reports No New Negotiation Information
Russian spokesperson Dmitry Peskow said there is no new information on negotiations related to Ukraine, citing no change since Putin‑Trump meeting in August.
Trump’s 28‑Point Plan and Its Core Elements
The plan includes giving Russia part of eastern Ukraine and imposing limits on Ukraine’s forces as preliminary conditions for U.S. security guarantees.
Trump reportedly accepted the proposal.
