A serious traffic accident involving two passenger cars occurred on National Road No. 2 in the village of Ługi Rętki (Siedlce County). Several people, including children, were injured.

Firefighter Response

“Firefighters are using hydraulic tools to release the trapped person as quickly as possible,” said Captain Daniel Czapski, press officer for the Siedlce City Police Headquarters.

Emergency Resources Deployed

Several fire brigades, two LPR helicopters, and several medical rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. During operations both helicopters were recalled. The emergency teams continue the rescue operation.

Road Closure and Investigation

National Road No. 2 may be blocked for several hours. Police will investigate the causes and circumstances of the crash.
