Polish police are seeking two men suspected of espionage and terrorist sabotage on the Warsaw East‑Dorohusk railway after two derailments in mid‑November.
Police Seek Suspects for Railway Sabotage
Police are pursuing Yevheniya Ivanova and Oleksandr Kononov in connection with suspected espionage and a terrorist crime, according to the Capital Police Headquarters. Images of the men have been released.
Acts of Sabotage Targeted Warsaw‑East Line
In mid‑November, two sabotage incidents occurred on the Warsaw East‑Dorohusk line: damage to the tracks in Mika and damage to the traction network in Gołąb.
Suspects Alleged Links to Russian Services
Investigators say the perpetrators were acting for Russian services. A European Arrest Warrant request is being prepared after the suspects fled to Belarus following the sabotage preparations.

Police ask anyone with information that could locate the men to call 112 or contact the nearest police station. During certain hours, information may also be submitted by phone to numbers listed on the Capital Police Headquarters website.
