Poland has deployed its fighter aircraft in a preventive measure after a Russian attack on Kyiv killed one person and injured seven, prompting airspace monitoring and readiness across the region.
Poland Scrambles Fighters
Operational Command of the Armed Forces confirmed that fighter aircraft were deployed and that air defence and radar reconnaissance systems are at readiness level. Measures are preventive and aimed to secure the airspace, particularly in border regions. The command assures continual monitoring and readiness to act immediately if required.
Russian Attack on Kyiv
The strike killed one person and wounded seven, with damage to residential buildings and vehicles in several districts of the Ukrainian capital. Four wounded individuals were hospitalized, and a 13‑year‑old child was among the injured, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klychko, said on Telegram. In addition, two people were injured in a village in the Kyiv region, the town of Browary, during the attack.
