Rogów House Fire Claims 89‑Year‑Old’s Life

On Saturday, November 29, a fire swept through a single‑family home in Rogów, Repki municipality, killing an 89‑year‑old man while a 60‑year‑old with injuries was taken to hospital.

Incident

On Saturday evening after 18:00, a fatal blaze engulfed a ground‑floor residential building in the village of Rogów, part of the Repki municipality in the Sokołów county.

Firefighting Response

Eight fire‑brigade companies from the State Fire Service and local volunteer units rushed to the scene, attempting to extinguish the flames and search the interior of the house.

Casualties

Despite resuscitation efforts, the 89‑year‑old occupant died. The second victim, a 60‑year‑old man, was transported to hospital with bodily injuries.

Investigation

Police officers, supervised by a prosecutor, are conducting procedural work, including a post‑blow inspection and forensic evidence collection to determine the cause and exact course of the fire.
