Karol Nawrocki Tops Donald Tusk in Latest Polish Poll

In a United Surveys poll run for WP from 21‑23 November 2025, Karol Nawrocki topped Donald Tusk, with 40.6 % of respondents trusting him against 35.3 % for Tusk.

Poll Methodology and Overall Findings

United Surveys, run by IBRiS for Web portal WP, surveyed 1,000 adults between 21‑23 November 2025 using CATI & CAWI. The poll asked which of the two politicians—Karol Nawrocki or Donald Tusk—Polish voters trusted more. Nawrocki received 40.6 % of the replies, while Tusk got 35.3 %. A further 18.2 % said they trusted neither, and 5.9 % answered “I don’t know / difficult to say.” Dr Łukasz Młyńczyk of Warsaw University sees Nawrocki’s success as a result of the “new face” image.

High Trust Among Governing Coalition Voters

Among voters supporting the governing coalition, 90 % declared trust in Donald Tusk. Nawrocki garnered only 2 % of the vote in that group, with 8 % not naming either candidate. In opposition blocs (PiS, Confederation), 71 % trusted the president, yet 26 % of that group trusted neither him nor the prime minister.

Main Support in “Other” Voters

In the “other” electorate, Tusk captured just 3 % of the votes, whereas Nawrocki received 41 %. The largest segment of this group—56 %—was neither decisive nor satisfied with politics, according to the poll.

Conflict Between Nawrocki’s Office and Tusk’s Government

The polling results coincide with a recent dispute between President Nawrocki’s office and the Tusk administration. Nawrocki declined to sign promotion orders for 136 officers of the Intelligence Service (ABW) and the General Staff (SKW). The government labels the act as sabotage against state security. Experts argue that the dispute illustrates a broader rivalry between the Presidential Palace and the Prime Minister’s Office. Dr Maciej Onasz notes that constitution designers expected the holders of the state’s top offices to exhibit at least minimal willingness to cooperate; the precise wording of the law thus allows room for interpretation.
