Arrest Made in Volkswagen Theft and Multiple Storage‑Unit Break‑Ins

A 31‑year‑old Żyrardów resident was arrested last week for stealing a Volkswagen and carrying out several break‑ins into storage units, police say.

Police Investigation

Within hours of receiving a report of a vehicle theft, officers located the missing Volkswagen and detained a local resident. The man, now 31, was identified as the suspect.

Charges Filed

Investigators have linked the suspect to the stolen vehicle, the use of a bank card, and a burglary of a storage unit. He faces up to 15 years in prison with a recidivism clause.

Additional Break‑Ins

Evidence suggests the same man also broke into other storage facilities between March and April in the Żyrardów county.

Recovery of Property

The recovered car, various power tools, documents and payment cards were returned to the rightful owner, pending court proceedings on the suspect’s case.
