On December 1 the White House announced that an October MRI of former President Donald Trump showed no abnormalities, confirming he remains in excellent health.
October MRI Findings
During a post‑conference briefing, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt read a note from Dr. Sean Barabella, the presidential physician. He reported that the MRI results were “completely normal.” The examination indicated that Trump’s cardiovascular system was “in excellent health.”
Routine Health Monitoring
Barabella explained that the October test was part of standard medical surveillance for the president. He emphasized that it was a routine procedure designed to keep track of the former leader’s overall health status.
Democratic Pressure for Disclosure
Democrats, including Minnesota governor Tim Walz, had called for the release of Trump’s medical data. They argued that, given the former president’s 79 years of life, transparency about his health was warranted.
Chronic Venous Insufficiency Update
In July, the White House clarified that Trump suffers from mild chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition among people over 70. At that time, no signs of deep‑vein thrombosis or varicose disease were reported.
