In the early hours of Saturday, December 6, a fatal incident occurred on national road 94 in Sosnowiec, before 5:00 a.m. Police discovered the body of a woman at the Benzińska Street exit toward Katowice. Initial findings indicate that the 70‑year‑old victim may have been struck by a vehicle. Officers on the scene collected evidence and are conducting a full investigation, including identifying the responsible party.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Police are urging drivers and anyone who may have been traveling on the 94 between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. to contact the Sosnowiec City Police Command at 47 852 12 00. Officers emphasize that even the smallest clue can aid in piecing together the events. “Every piece of information, even seemingly insignificant, could be crucial,” the officers said.

Road Black Alert Issued in Silesian Voivodeship

Following the incident, the Katowice Provincial Police Command declared a Road Black Alert. Deputy Commander Jacek Stelmach warned that a person had died on the region’s roads and urged drivers to reduce speed, exercise caution, and remember they have only one life.
