A December IPSOS poll for Radio Zet shows Polish voters rate Prime Minister Donald Tusk negatively while Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski improves in approval.
Sikorski Tops Tusk in Survey
IPSOS conducted the study between 5‑9 December for Radio Zet, surveying 1,000 respondents on their evaluation of Donald Tusk and Radosław Sikorski. Tusk was judged negatively by 51 %, positively by 27 %, neutral by 19 %, and 3 % said they did not know him. Sikorski received negative ratings from 36 %, positive from 30 %, neutral from 22 %, and 12 % did not know him.

In the Poland 2050 supporter group 43 % held a positive view, whereas only 24 % of PSL supporters were positive. A reverse pattern appeared among those who spoke negatively: 46 % of PSL voters and 28 % of Poland 2050 supporters were in that category. Tusk’s approval barely reached 1 % among Confederation and Polish Confederation Crown voters; negative impressions were held by 65 % of Sławomir Mentzena’s followers and 87 % of Grzegorz Braun’s party members.
Sikorski’s Support Across Party Lines
86 % of KO voters rated Sikorski positively, as did 69 % of New Left supporters and 60 % of Poland 2050 members. Positive ratings also came from 49 % of PSL voters, 35 % of Razem supporters, 9 % of PiS voters, 5 % of Confederation, and 2 % of Polish Confederation Crown. Conversely, 84 % of Grzegorz Braun party sympathizers, 71 % of PiS voters, 63 % of Confederation voters, 23 % of Razem voters, 12 % of PSL voters, 7 % of New Left sympathizers, and a further 3 % of KO voters gave a negative opinion of him.
Second Year of the Coalition Government
On 12 December the coalition’s second‑year anniversary was marked by former Prime Minister Tusk’s exposure and the government’s inauguration. President Andrzej Duda appointed the cabinet the following day. On X, the government leader said, “Good, though very difficult. I accept full responsibility, I’m proud, but I know Poland deserves more… We will astonish the world again.” An IBRiS poll for Polish Radio found that 49.6 % of Poles think the coalition will survive the next election unchanged, 30 % say it will, and 20 % remain undecided.
