When Will Heatwaves End? A Sudden Cooldown Is Coming – Timing Confirmed

Although heatwaves flood Poland right now, a cooling spell is on the horizon – and we know exactly when it will arrive.

Heatwaves in Poland: IMGW Warnings

Currently, parts of Poland are experiencing first‑ and second‑degree heat warnings issued by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management. These warnings apply to the southeast region. After 1 p.m., temperatures ranged from 29 to as high as 33 °C.

When Do the Heatwaves End? A Sudden Cooldown Approaches

Cooling already begins on Sunday (August 17). In the northeastern part of Poland, along the coast and locally in the foothill basins, temperatures will be between 19 and 21 °C. Overnight, temperatures are expected to be between 10 and 14 °C, though locally they may drop as low as 7 °C.

Heatwaves Return Quickly. Even 30 °C

However, it does not signal the end of the heatwaves. Tuesday (August 19) will see daytime temperatures of 27 °C. Wednesday (August 20) could reach even 29 °C in the south. Thursday (August 21), according to IMGW, the maximum temperature across most of Poland will be between 19 and 23 °C, with the southeastern area enjoying 25 to 30 °C.
