WKD Train Crashes into Opel Car, Blocking Commute to Warsaw

A Warsaw Commuter Railway train struck a passenger Opel vehicle just before 7 a.m. on Dec. 16 in Reguły, Pruszków County, halting morning traffic to the capital.

Collision Details

At 06:59 on Tuesday, a WKD train collided with an Opel car in the village of Reguły, situated in Pruszków County. The driver allowed the train coming from Warsaw to pass, but a second train departing toward Grodzisk obscured her view, causing the vehicle to collide with the moving train.

Response and Aftermath

Firefighters, medical rescue teams and police were dispatched to the scene. The driver of the Opel was examined by medical personnel and suffered no injuries, and passengers aboard the train were unharmed.

The incident has been classified as a collision. No injuries were reported and traffic was disrupted in the morning rush hour.
