On Tuesday, the Warsaw District Court formally registered the “New Wave Prof. Senyszyn” party, led by Joanna Senyszyn, who vows to champion economic and social issues while targeting the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Party Registration and Leadership
The Warsaw District Court registered “New Wave Prof. Senyszyn” on December 9. Joanna Senyszyn will not serve as president; instead she will chair the general assembly of founding members. Former Polish left MPs Marek Balt and Robert Kwiatkowski are among the party’s members.
Campaign Promise
The new grouping pledges to secure victory in the forthcoming parliamentary elections, committing to formal registration in polls and equal visibility alongside established parties.
Policy Focus
Senyszyn intends to focus on economic and societal matters, retaining her earlier positions. She argues that a secular state is essential, noting that a return to clericalism would strip women, LGBT individuals, and even animals of their rights.
Critique of Opponents
She claims the current left inadequately addresses key issues such as poverty and healthcare, and has publicly rebuked New Left leader Włodzimierz Czarzasty, asserting he should never have been made marshal because of his party’s size and undemocratic views.
Organizational Development
The party already has expert panels drafting regional policy programs and plans to launch a YouTube channel next year. Senyszyn also intends to resume active campaigning on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
Social Media Origins
In June, the politician previewed her party under the provisional name “Red Beads Senyszyn,” inviting supporters via social media. She promised a democratic, orderly, fair Poland—“the homeland of our dreams”—a message that attracted 10,000 responses.
